Abandoned in the 80's the silos were saved from demolition by the City of Toronto declaring them a historic site. To date they remain empty with no plans on future development.

In the foreground is the (unused) chimney of the Power Plant a public art gallery. In it's previous life it housed the heating and cooling equipment of the Toronto Terminal Building which is now the Queens Quay Terminal. It contains shops, restaurants, residences and offices (my daughter works done there). In the background is the CN Tower, for now the worlds tallest freestanding structure.
