Cathedral of the Transfiguration

The Cathedral of the Transfiguration north of the city of Toronto is an imposing structure which for years had basically nothing around it. Now like most areas of the Greater Toronto area the urban sprawl is on it's door step.
Unfortunately I have not had the privilege of seeing it from the inside.

Hello, Ken.

You've taken a beautiful photo of that delightful cathedral. A few days ago I featured a Byzantine Rite Roman Catholic cathedral (Melkite), quite different from the one you are showing today.

Thanks for providing the Wiki link. BTW, has "Cathedraltown" been completed? What type of development is it?

Cheers!

Beautiful Church. I have a blog, Holy Houses--www.holyhouses-day4plus.blogspot.com and I was wondering if I could use your photo for that blog? Let me know. MB

If you go to cathedraltown.com/the_town.htm it will show the development that is being constructed.

The Aladdin church was what we always referred to this building as.

Great shot!
