Due to road expansion it is rumoured that this former general store will be moved or demolished in the near future. Now a diner and ice cream shop it's a favourite stop for residents and cottagers heading north. Personally I enjoy their cappuccino and toasted western sandwich.
A neighbour and life long resident remembers going to the general store when she was young. When we first moved here it housed a post and beam company.
Hopefully it will be moved either back in the property or to a new location but only time will tell.

I hope they keep that one of piece of history in your community. The sky in background sure look blue.
Yes, it would be a shame to lose it. Good thing you've recorded it here.
A diner that serves cappuccino is a gem!
What's on a toasted western sandwich?
ararat: A toasted western is made up of eggs, bacon, onion and bell peppers on bread. The bacon, onion and bell peppers are cut up and put into beaten eggs. This whole mess is fried on a griddle. When cooked placed between toasted bread.
I'm pretty sure there are many variations.
The toasted western sandwich seems to be a very good sandwich. And this Diner is surely a welcoming place to take good coffee.
will be sad to see it go, however I lived in the area for almost 20 years and only went in there twice. Seems like a bit of a cursed location, but I know of some people who loved it.
long live da scoop.
