Railway spikes litter the abandon track next to the GO train line. Interestingly, on November 7, 1885 the last rail spike was driven in completing the coast to coast railway line in Canada.

I could't decide what these were in the portal, and was curious. You've made a pile of rust nails very interesting.
Fascinating commentary and a lovely shot. I love rusty things - the colours are so wonderful. Like Babooshka, I couldn't work out what these were in the portal. Thought they might be a strange carrot!
what a great shot... the small version doesn't give it justice. i love the way the rusty oranges have all blended together.
