Park Entrance

The Cabot Trail is a 298 km loop around the north end of Cape Breton Island and part of the trail travels through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. This is the west entrance to the park. Interestingly, after taking our park entrance fee we weren't given a map but a warning that this is bear country. It suggested not trying to out run or feed bears and not to approach or pat the cubs.
