The inscription tells us that many residents of Muddy York once buried in Potter's Field were moved to Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Potter's Field was a six acre plot in Yorkville purchased in 1825 for about $300. This area is now the location of high end shops and restaurants with condominiums selling for many millions of dollars.

Inflation has been amazing over the past two centuries, hasn't it? And it's not slowing down, either.
I haven't been to Yorkville in a while. It's a fun area to tour.
I've enjoyed (and appreciated!) the yellow series!
