This is an unusual color for a squirrel. I was thinking that I might post a photo of a squirrel tomorrow, and I think your photo has prompted me to go ahead and do so.
A black squirrel??? I don't ever remember seeing one like that before. I do remember the many squirrels in Toronto.
It never ceases to amaze me how they can walk the tracks or across the top of a fence without falling off.
Lots and lots of black squirrels here in Stouffville, and grey ones, and brownish ones, and... well, they're all related. The black is just another colour mutation of the grey. And they're all tree-rats!
