I seen this guy wandering our back yard last Friday and thought it was just visiting. Now I realize it must have been injured in the storm we had on Thursday evening. I wonder how many other birds met the same fate.

That storm was quite something. My sister has posted some photos of the sky on her blog A Patchwork Quilt by Design. We had our share of tornadoes in Minnesota. and I have to say I'd rather have earthquakes than tornadoes -- if you just don't live in a mobile home or a dried up river bed. (It liquifies, like in Mexico City.)
A beautiful picture of a sad event. I hope she had a happy birdie life while it lasted.
