Cow Gate

This is a cow gate in the beautiful and ornate fence that surrounds Osgoode Hall. These gates were supposedly used to keep animals off the grounds. Some suggest they are purely ornamental. Either way they beg to be walk through.

This kind of gate is too expensive for animal these day. I thought this iron gate is only in front of the expensive houses or mansion.

That gate is gorgeous! Too bad we don't build like that anymore unless you have...MONEY!
