When out for a walk the other day I came across many of these trees. They may be pussy willows, but I'm not sure.

I don't think so....I think they are too bristly for pussy willow.
I clicked on your photo to enlarge it - and I really loved the baubly bits on the end of the sticky bits.

Very interesting! Haven't a clue what it might be -- if it's not easily recognizable like a rose, daisy, dandelion or tulip, I'm pretty much at a loss! :-)
