The pond near our home is also home to numerous families of Canada geese among other wildlife. This pair was either readying their nest or taking a break from the cold water.

Nice picture!
We have those beautiful Canadian Geese too that hanging around in edge of our lake, sometimes I went there during my lunch break just watching them with my lunch. Excellent shot.
In the little thumbnail at cdp - this photo looks like it is just of reeds - even when I came here it was difficult to see the ducks - they are so beautifully camouflaged.
i'm surprised the didn't fly away... you must have been camouflaged too.

I thought it was an empty mill pond,
until I noticed the geese. Well spotted, they can scoot off quite quick.
