Toronto Police Marine Unit

The Toronto Police Marine Unit is responsible for all the waterways and internal bodies of water in Toronto. On Lake Ontario alone that encompasses some 460 square miles.
Originally their duties were life saving and patrol work but now along with normal police work they provide medical support for island residents, search and recoveries and ice rescues plus many other water related duties.
You may want to visit their web site to learn more.

Very cool. It looks like it could be an interesting career path for someone looking for something a bit different!
