Taking only six months to build in 1931 the 'Gardens' was former home of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The first game was played November 12, 1931 and the last February 13, 1999 ending a 67 year history. Interestingly both games were a loss to the Chicago Black Hawks. I personally have many fond memories of the 'Gardens' some of which are seeing hockey games from the nose bleed seats,the many track meets both watching and competing in and seeing my first professional NBA game when the Buffalo Braves came to town.
